I scouted the conditions on Route 99 last Friday, and they are incredible. Now, I’m looking for steady partners to join me for a high-mileage training weekend.
🏔️ The Plan: You don't have to do both days—feel free to join for just Saturday or just Sunday! If you don't want to hike for the whole day, you can easily take a bus or train from Flüelen or Sisikon to head back early.
Saturday, March 28: 35km (Brunnen ➔ Seelisberg)
📍 Meeting Points:
Saturday: 07:00 AM at Brunnen Train Station.
⏱️ The Pace: Steady and consistent. As a swimmer, I have a 'slow and steady' endurance engine. We aren’t sprinting, but we are keeping a solid rhythm to hit our mileage.
📈 Elevation: Approx. 1,400m ascent and descent per day.
🎒 Gear & Prep: I’ll be breaking in my new Mammut Sapuens and Leki Carbon poles. Bring sturdy shoes, enough water for 6-8 hours, and your favorite Swiss trail snacks. 🧀
