I'm considering doing it as well, but I'm curious to hear real-life impressions. Was there a lot of snow/ice? Was the snow stable? did you end up using crampons? or not really?

Hey Jarek, i did do the climb. Had to treat it pretty much like a PD hoch tour. I used crampons and ice axe all the time until around 1pm while the snow was hard enough. Than i put away crampons as they were more of a burden and kept ice axe all the way up with me. Almost every single section was covered with snow, pretty deep. So after snow starts to melt, was at least ankle deep in the snow. Snow was stable tho, i did take the way up as planned. The “climbing” section was covered in snow, so i did avoid that, just in case. Instead i went from the right of the snow and climbed through a chimney which put me above the snow and i just navigated back on trail through the scree above the snow. The rest i just stayed how the trail originally goes, but with snow. On the way down, i decided to reroute and went back to the hutte through the hook route. There was deep snow, but i was able to avoid it.

I took the bus connection, but because that connection comes late i ended up on the melting snow pretty early on the trail, would be a great advantage to stat at 5-6am, than you would have more time without sinking in. If you want i can also send you some pictures.
