Description

Early start to catch one of the best Tegernsee hikes at its best:

We take the RB57 (86957) at 07:02, then bus 356 from Bahnhof Tegernsee at 08:17. Starting early helps us avoid crowds and enjoy the calm morning atmosphere.

The Hirschberg (1,670 m) is a classic around Tegernsee, great mix of forest, alpine paths, and a panoramic summit.

We’ll take a proper break at the Hirschberghaus, which just opened for the season on May 1st. Expect good food, cold drinks, and a terrace with a view, so no rush there.

Return from Bad Wiessee Abwinkl bus stop, at  15:34 / 16:34, arriving after changing at Gmund , in Munich at 16:57 / 17:57

Who should join:

  • Fitness level bare minimum 400 hm/h and no need for many breaks as we will have only two major ones: at the hut and at the lake.
  • You know your basic hiking setup (mountain insurance, shoes, water, weather-appropriate clothing)

A couple of notes:

  • Please join only if you’re genuinely in 👍
  • If you’re also hiking Saturday, just make sure you still have energy left, unjoins are not well received.
  • Empty profiles are welcome, and are expected to send a quick message upon pressing the join button about their fitness level

The hike is T2. If you don't know the T-Scale, read this blog (click here).

 1. **Not a Guided Tour**: This hike is not a guided tour. I am only facilitating the organization of transportation to the starting point for like-minded, qualified, properly equipped, and reliable individuals.

2. **Self-Navigation**: Each participant is responsible for navigating themselves on the suggested route. You must have the necessary skills, experience, and equipment to independently complete the hike.

3. **Acknowledgement of Risk**: By joining this hike, you acknowledge that hiking can be dangerous. You understand and accept the inherent risks involved.

4. **Personal Responsibility**: You are fully responsible for your own safety and well-being during the hike. This includes being prepared for all weather conditions, having adequate supplies, and ensuring your physical readiness for the hike.

5. **Insurance**: You confirm that you have sufficient insurance coverage, such as membership with the German Alpine Club (DAV), Mountain Rescue Service (Bergrettung), or a similar organization. This insurance should cover any potential accidents or emergencies that may occur during the hike.

By participating in this hike, you agree to release the organizer from any liability for injuries, accidents, or other incidents that may occur. You participate at your own risk and responsibility.

If you decide to leave the group (go in front by yourself, or stopping for no reason), then we won’t search for you and you officially left the group, it is also the same if you don't bring required gears

As the organizer failed to reply to me, I'd like to post here what I got from him: No previous communication, no reply, just a sentence. Performance is the king, and obviously for Hirschberg, a T2 hike well suited for families. But not for me, I got sentenced as unfit for the mission lol! Next time show him in advance the Strava recordings of the last month or two lol ---- this hike will have a faster pace than Olyas . nothing personal obviously and I wish a great weekend ahead

Also want to add to the comment below - it is frankly bizarre - this is what I got with no previous correspondence from this organizer who seems to have some big problem "I don't think this group is the right fit for you. I'd prefer you not join the upcoming hikes." - If you look at my profile, everything fits - lots of "friendly fast fit hiker" etc comments, no no shows. No idea why anyone in their right mind would act in such a way - it is a T2 in May :D
