Description

Brecherspitze Morning Hike – Saturday 🏔️

After the Jack Wolfskin event on Saturday, I’m planning a relaxed and scenic hike to Brecherspitze and a few people are welcome to join.

Route
Giesing → Holzkirchen → Spitzingsee Sattel → Brecherspitze

You can also join directly from Munich Central Station if that’s easier for you.

The hike itself is relatively short and technically easy. There is a small ridge section near the summit which I’ve done many times without issues, but people with a strong fear of heights may find it uncomfortable.

The goal is to start early:

  • avoid the weekend crowds

  • enjoy the calm morning atmosphere

  • spend some relaxed time at the summit instead of rushing

This is not an endurance challenge.
Planned pace: around 300–400 vertical meters per hour, with enough breaks and a comfortable rhythm.

⛰️ What to bring:

  • Hiking shoes

  • At least 2L water

  • Food / snacks

  • Sun protection

  • Layered hiking clothing (spring temperatures can change quickly)

  • Deutschlandticket or money for your own ticket

  • DAV membership / alpine insurance (mandatory)

  • Offline-accessible route navigation

  • Cash for the hut (cards may not be accepted)

  • Anything else you personally need for a safe and enjoyable mountain day

If you’re interested, join along 🙂
