Update as of June 12 at 01:00 AM: the hike is confirmed, the snow has almost fully melted yesterday according to the Jakobshorn webcam (Webcam Jakobshorn (2.590 m) – Davos Platz). I will bring spikes just in case. If you have them, please pack them in your backpack as well.
Saturday 13th June, time to walk along the most spectacular ridge of Graubünden!
"Standing proudly at an elevation of 2,590 meters, the Jakobshorn peak is a striking landmark in the Albula Alps, offering breathtaking views over the world-famous city of Davos in the Swiss canton of Grisons. This iconic mountain serves as a gateway to the impressive landscapes of the Davos Klosters region, nestled between the picturesque Dischmatal and Sertigtal valleys. What truly captivates visitors at the Jakobshorn is the unparalleled 360-degree panoramic view from its summit. Hikers and mountain bikers alike rave about the magnificent vistas of numerous 3,000-meter peaks lining up like a class photo, including the Weissfluh and the Chörbschhorn in the foreground, with the Pizol and the Sulzfluh in the distance. The feeling of being high above the valley amidst such vast natural splendor is a continuous highlight."
Due to the maximum altitude (2,681 meters above sea level) and some exposed sections on the ridge, this hike is not suitable for beginners, especially for those who suffer from vertigo, even if the difficulty level is T2.

Pace: We will maintain a moderate pace of around 400m up per hour. The hike is about 15 km long, according with Swisstopo its duration is 5h38', therefore I expect to have enough time for multiple breaks and hopefully for a drink/coffee/ice cream in Davos at the end. Please note that the route is not a loop.
Everyone should have: hiking shoes with good grip (mandatory), hiking poles (strongly recommended in the exposed sections on the ridge!!!), spikes, proper clothes (windstopper!), food, plenty of water, sunscreen, happy mood.
I might cancel or reschedule the event in case the weather deteriorates by Saturday.
