Sonnwendfeuer (Summer Solstice Fires) Hike
Every year, the Zugspitz region celebrates the summer solstice with spectacular mountain fires forming various motifs across the surrounding peaks. If weather conditions are unfavorable, the event may be postponed to June 27.
Important: Please read all instructions carefully before joining, especially the requirements regarding the headlamp and border crossing.
Transportation
We will travel by car, as public transport stops operating around 21:30. Fuel and parking costs will be shared among passengers.

Joining the Event
Please join a carpool with available seats after reading the driver’s instructions. If no seats are available, add yourself to the waiting list and check regularly for openings. Seats are not assigned automatically.

We plan to stop at Tuftlalm on the ascent. The hut is expected to remain open until approximately 21:00–22:00. As it may be crowded, please do not rely on the hut for food or drinks and bring sufficient supplies with you.
Difficulty
Suitable for beginners who are comfortable hiking after dark.

Cancellation Policy
If you can no longer attend, please leave the event as early as possible. It is not possible to leave the event within 12 hours of the start time. No-shows may be noted on your profile.
