Hoi hikers,

Let's escape the heatwave up to the mountains and to 4 alpine lakes in Northern Ticino, above the Leventina valley.

This hike is not suitable for beginners. The wbw route is T3+.

How to get there:

By public transport: 7:05 from HB to Pesciüm. The cable car tickets we will buy there.

By car: Use gps. 

Journey back from Lago Termorgio at ca. 17-18h. The cable car is in operation until 19:00.

Meeting point:

09:05 AM - Airolo, stazione bus stop

Hike:

The hike will last ca. 8 hours with a lot of viewpoints.

Short (ca. 20 Min.) picnic lunch break on one of the peaks.

The pace will be medium/fast (>555 hm/h) with enough time to admire the landscape. In case you're not able to keep up with the pace, we might split up.

If needed, we can change the route to avoid possible storms, although the chance is low (as Thursday evening).

The elevation is ca. 1430 hm acc. to komoot. 

Equipment:

Proper hiking shoes, poles, picnic lunch, snacks, enough water (2+ l), sunscreen, proper clothes acc. to the weather, good mood and fitness.

Additional notes

The organizer is no professional guide. Participants are responsible for themselves, must do their own research about the route, and must be able to navigate by themselves (in case the groups split for some reason, for example).

Out of respect for the others, please be on time. If you happen to be late, contact the organizer.

If you have a No Show in your profile (= you did not show up to a hike you signed up to in the past), I may exclude you from the event.

Unjoining allowed until 12 hours before the start of the event. If you are unable to be join for whatever reason, contact the organizer.
