Description

Motivational intro:

Chill hike, lakes and lake views, waterfalls

Transport:

(RB66 + BUS 328)   7:59 Munich - 9:34 Urfeld

We can return early or hang out by the lake in Kochel. We can decide on the spot.

2 hours 26 minute22h 26mi

Pace/Trail/Plan:

The idea is to start from Urfeld with a nice view of Walchensee.

Next, we head to Kesselbach falls, and climb Sonnenspitz (no worries, it's not Sonnenspitze !) for lake views.

Finally, we go to Lainbach falls and back to Kochel.

Given that it's a hot summer, don't expect the waterfalls to be at peak flow.

This will be a chill :) hike especially since it will be hot. We aim to hike as a group.

Stopover for cake/drinks/food/ice-cream at the end in Kochel.

If you have pressing post-hike afternoon/evening plans in Munich, this hike is not for you. We will not rush to return early.

Plans:

I reserve the right to cancel/reschedule if the weather craps outs or if very few people join.

Requests:

I have a few simple & imo sensible requests:
  • Have sufficient water. Min 2 liters available at the trailhead, not when you leave home.
  • Proper hiking clothes. In particular, no jeans !

WhatsApp group:

The link to the WhatsApp group will be sent Saturday by private message.

This means you will get an email about it and it could end up in your spam folder.

Joining means you acknowledge and agree with the following:

- I am not a guide

- You are completely responsible for yourself for the entire duration of the trip. No one else is responsible for yourself.
