Pleisenspitze (2569m) is the westernmost peak in the Karwendel main ridge and is known for its fantastic view. Apart from the great difference in altitude, it is quite easy to reach from Scharnitz. Comfortable hikers spend the night at the highly recommended Pleisenhütte, which is about halfway along the route. To this point the path follows a simple forest path, from this point on a moderately steep path, which only requires some surefootedness on the summit.
If you want to climb the top of the Pleisenspitze on one day, you should be fit enough. No matter whether on one or two days, the ascent to the Pleisenspitze is also possible by mountain bike and makes the descent back to Scharnitz much easier. All in all a great tour in the Karwendel!
