-------

User provided description:

The route starts at the edge of Rezervat Prašuma Perućica, one of the last remaining primeval forests in Europe and a strictly protected reserve within Sutjeska National Park. The trail climbs through old-growth forest before breaking onto the open ridge leading to Maglić (2,386m), the highest peak in Bosnia & Herzegovina, straddling the border with Montenegro.

From the summit, the route descends south to Trnovačko jezero, a glacial lake at approximately 1,700m set in a cirque below the Maglić massif, where a mountain hut and camping area provide a rest point. The return leg loops back north through the Perućica reserve buffer zone to the trailhead.
