Monte Circeo hike in South Lazio. Legend has it that this is the place where the sorceress Circe lived—the friendly witch who famously transformed Odysseus’s crew into pigs during their journey back to Ithaca (modern-day Greece), following the ten-year Trojan War (in present-day Turkey).
Odysseus and his crew eventually managed to escape. Hopefully, no hikers will have any strange mythological encounters during this beautiful, scenic Mediterranean hike! 🪄🧭🛶🐖🧜🏻♀️
