Servus friends!

Friday and Saturday seem to be a decent weather window, so let's make an attempt on "König Ortler" via the Normalweg (3905m, PD+, III, 40°). 

Please be aware that this is a serieus climb. We will be on a glacier, and as such alpine experience and gear is mandatory for this trip! You should be self sufficient in glacier resque techniques and moving on ice and rock. Please do not sign up if you are not! Proper acclimatisation is also recommended.

This event will mainly serve to gauge interest and to provide general info. We will discuss the details further in a whatsapp group. Please send me your number as soon as you sign up for the event, so i can make the group.

Day 1, Friday, 23rd of August:

• We meet in the afternoon in Innsbruck, from where we can take my car to Solda/Sulden in Italy. Alternatively you take your own transport and we meet there.
• From here we will hike approx. 2-3 hours (700hm, 5,3km) to the Tabarettahütte (2556m), where i have booked 3 places in the lager including halbpension.

Day 2, Saturday, 24th of August:

• Very early breakfast and start from the hut heading to the Payerhutte (3029m, 1,5h). From there we continue to the summit (3905m, 3,5h)
• We descend and head back to the car over the same route (4-5 hours).
• Total: 17km, 1450m ascent, 2150m descend
• Please be aware that if it is busy on the route we will most likely take longer than the times mentioned here.

I will bring a rope and some quickdraws. Please bring your own gear for glacier travel. If you sign up for this event I assume you know what you need ;)
