This route contains parts with UIAA I climbing on the ridge (If you don't know what this means, please look up at https://www.theuiaa.org/mountaineering/uiaa-grades-for-rock-climbing/). The climbing parts on the ridge do not have a steel rope to hold on to. Only the part up to the Pitzenegg summit is very exposed, but that section can be left out. The description at http://www.hikr.org/tour/post43881.html is quite useful, just note that it's about the reversed route.
Only for experienced hikers, and please message me if we haven't hiked together multiple times yet. The route contains multiple scrambling parts along the ridge. This hike only happens if the weather will be dry and stable, because we can't get down from the ridge if the weather would surprise us.
A DAV membership or equivalent mountain rescue insurance is strongly recommended.
We take the 7:13 train towards Reutte in Tirol. The hike will start from Ehrwald (at 8:54) or Lermoos (at 8:58). Whether to start from Ehrwald or Lermoos doesn't really matter, but I haven't tried the path from Ehrwald towards Tuftl Alm yet.
We return to Munich from Lähn. Possible Trains leave at 16:46, 17:18, 18:45, 19:18. We should aim at reaching the 17:18 train back, otherwise we will be back in Munich quite late (the train back takes 2:02h or 2:08h).
