Dear Hiking Buddies,

How many times have we seen this route pop up on Hiking Buddies? Too many to count! But after almost 7 years in Munich, I still haven't done it. It's about time we change that!

I'll be boarding the train at Harras, but feel free to hop on wherever works best for you, and we can meet up along the way—let’s see if we can spot each other, haha! But I might create a WhatsApp Group for better communication.

The hike should take about 5 hours, and I need to return to Munich quite early. To make sure to catch the 14:52 train from Tegernsee (or earlier if possible), we won't have much time for extended breaks, so it’s best to bring your own food.

Estimated Plan:

1- München Harras --> Schliersee Bahnhof (Train BRB55): 08:09 --> 08:56 (departure from Central Station 08:03)

2- Hiking: approximately 5 hours 

3- Tegernsee --> München : 14:52 (BRB RB57) or earlier if possible

Remember to bring with you:

-- Sufficient food and water for the hike

-- Rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast

-- Additional gear if needed

-- Ticket for public transport (Deutschland Ticket or other).

It's important to unjoin the event well in advance if you can't make it, especially within the 12-hour window before the start time.
