Description

Meeting Time:  6:50 at München Ostbhf - Plattform 8. Train leaves at 7:04.  -->BRB RB5 to Freilassing. (You can also take the train in Hbf, it departures at 6:55 from Platform 9)


-This  is a Via Ferrata Event, it requires surefootedness and freedom from vertigo. The trail is exposed in some places. (not suitable for totally Via Ferrata beginners).

-Via Ferrata Difficulty Level C, with some optional variants (D, D/E, E)

A checklist (probably non-exhaustive) of what to bring:

  • Climbing harness
  • Alpine helmet
  • Via Ferrata kit
  • Sling and locking caribener (recomended for resting before/on the middle of a difficult part) 
  • Via Ferrata gloves
  • Food and Water for the day
  • Sun/Rain protection
  • Deutschlandticket
  • Some cash (in case we visit a restaurant while waiting for the next connection and / or there are some extra costs needed for transport)
  • GPX viewer with the route information

  • Headlamp and first aid kit (recommended for emergencies)


Route maybe modified based on the conditions of the day of the hike and because of Weather condition Event can change.

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours

Hi Nestor.. I did it last weekend going there via public transportation.. train from HbF to salzburg.. then bus 840.. it was pretty straightforward!

Great! grazie mille for the info :). My limit for this “hike” would be 6 persons, but since you’re experienced (what I see on your profile), wouldn’t be a problem. Please join the waiting list of the event, after that then I would increase the max participations to 7.
