With Via Ferrata season coming to an end soon, I'm starting to feel some Ferrata FOMO! Saturday’s weather looks decent, so I’m planning to head to Hausbachfall Klettersteig for the first time.
Since it’s a short Ferrata route (just 1 hour), I might be tempted to do it twice—it's up to you if you'd like to join for the second round or just do it once. I've also created a komoot rout mixing the Via Ferrata route with a short hike to Wetterkreuz to make the most of the day, with plans to eat there while enjoying a nice view.
This is the general plan, but I’m flexible. Depending on how fast we move and our bus connections, I’m open to stopping for a beer or meal after the hike. We can decide the details together as a group, but please bring enough food for the day
Important: This is a Via Ferrata event, so it requires surefootedness and freedom from vertigo. The trail is exposed in some areas, making it unsuitable for total beginners in Via Ferrata.
If you have a new Hiking Buddies profile or lack relevant experience listed, please reach out to me directly or leave a comment detailing your previous experience. For everyone’s safety, I may need to cancel participation if it seems like the route might not be a good fit. We want to ensure that we all have a safe and enjoyable day together!
