Hey everyone!


I'm planning a last-minute trip to the via ferratas at Tegelberg tomorrow! I’ll be catching the Bergbus from Pasing, aiming to start the climb early. The plan is to take on the Tegelbergsteig route, and I’m also hoping to try the more challenging Fingersteig section if the conditions aren’t too wet. There’s a slight chance of rain in the afternoon, but we should be finished with the ferrata by then. But if the weather takes a turn and it rains, we can switch to regular hiking trails nearby.


This is a Via Ferrata event, so it requires surefootedness and freedom from vertigo. The trail is exposed in some areas, making it unsuitable for Via Ferrata beginners.


Important: If you have a new Hiking Buddies profile or no relevant experience listed, please reach out to me directly or leave a comment with details about your previous experience. For everyone’s safety, I may need to cancel participation if it seems like the route might not be a good fit, just to make sure we all have a safe and enjoyable day together!

Depending on our pace and bus connections, I'm open to stopping for a beer or a quick lunch at the hut. We can decide together, but please come prepared with food for the day just in case

    - Sling ling and locking carabiner [must for Tegelbergsteig]

- GPX viewer with the route information

- DAV membership card

- Headlamp and first aid kit (recommended for emergencies)

If you decide to leave the group (go in front by yourself, or stopping for no reason), then we won’t search for you and you officially left the group, it is also the same if you don't bring required gears.



Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
