Description

Very long day, please only register if you are prepared for this. We will take the 5:32 train to Ehrwald, then start walking. The ticket is €7 + €15/n. For the return, we can decide whether to take Gatterl back down or go down along Reintal. I do not anticipate taking the BZB, unless someone is injured and unable to complete the hike.

The hike will only go ahead if at least one person signs up by around 21:00. If you want to come, please register here and let me know by WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

Transport

The train leaves at 5:32, changing in Garmisch, and arrives at 7:51. We will then take the train back from Ehrwald (17:30, 18:30, 19:30 or 21:36, each taking around 2 hours) or Garmisch (17:05, 18:05, 19:05, 20:05, 21:07, 22:07 or 23:07, each taking around 80 minutes).

Kit list

  • Alpenverein membership, or similar insurance
  • walking poles, if you have them
  • warmth (fleece)

  • passport/EU ID card (we are crossing into Austria)
