hi Annika. I am planning to do the Alpspitze Ferrata on 17th April. did you encounter alot of snow when you attempted it?? how doable was if for the beginners

Hi Arin, it depends on the physical condition firstly. If you are strong, resilient and not scared of high, it's doable as 1st time. It's a beginner friendly Path but in some sections you are exposed, especially last part. It can be long if you do the full circle and not descend from where you were coming from. I have found snow only last 300mt altitude. If you have never attempted a Ferrata I suggest you to do the Mittenwalder (long ma but easy) or go in group/with experts.
