Description

This is a relaxed social hike from Spitzingsee.  We'll climb to Rotwand for the cross pic and views, stop at Rotwandhaus on the way down for lunch, and then continue to Osterhofen, taking breaks, enjoying the weather, good company and views.  We stick together as a group, collecting everyone every half hour or so.  Our pace will be 350 to 400 m/hr.  This is pretty managable for beginners.  If you are significantly faster (or slower) then this, then you are doing a different hike and I'll remove you from this one.

Good to know

Meet at Hauptbahnhof, a 15 minutes before the train leaves so that we can grab a coffee and get seats.

The trains back are every hour.  We will aim for the 17:06 and should be able to hit it no problem.

The weather looks nice, but it is November, so bring warm clothes.  I'm confident we will get the train, still bring a headlamp just in case we get delayed.  The sun sets early these days.  Bring snacks, lots of water (>2 liters) and a good mood.
