Description

Please read the instructions before joining:

This is a relatively short hike (~3h). It is preferable that you are relatively fit (~350m/h altitude) as this will allow us more leeway and also time to relax at the lake and for lunch at the hut.

Depending on the overall fitness of the group, an alternate trail to Neureuth is also possible: https://www.komoot.de/tour/1346865052?ref=wtd&share_token=a9KvbWuddhhyowlMrHHJNZYx0ys0TSJCunYW9bhuewSkkSBicW

Event is subject to change and canellation depending on the weather.

Good to know
  • If you take the train from HBF, you should be there at 8:45 (RB 57 leaving at 9:00).  I'll be joining you at Harras at 9:07.
  • We'll arrive at 10:10
  • The Bergrestaurant should be open till 1st December, so we will aim to have lunch there.
  • After we finish the tour, we will spend some time at the lake, maybe even grab some food at the restaurant depending on the weather.

It is recommended pack the following essentials:

  • food and drinks for the entire day (as seen fit)
  • swimgear (for a dip in the Tegernsee)
  • sundry cash (for food/drinks, the hut only takes cash)
  • gaiters & spikes (for snow)
  • rain/sun protection according to the latest weather forecast
  • Alpenverein / mountain insurance recommended
  • first aid kit for emergencies recommended
  • headlamp for emergencies recommended

Disclaimer: Please note that this list is not exhaustive and every participant should conduct their own research and self-assessment before joining. Additionally, please be advised that I am not a mountain guide and hiking can be risky. Therefore, you are responsible for your own safety and must familiarize yourself with the route and its requirements. I recommend downloading a map and bringing a cell phone for emergencies.
