Description

Here is my tour suggestion for Sunday, 1.12. at Ybrig region: We will try to follow the official hiking trails (level T2/T3) to Roggenstock and back to Oberiberg. Due to the snowy conditions we likely will have deviations along the route! - So be prepared to go "off-road", too.

Goal 1: Bring and test your winter equipment, like hiking boots, snowshoes, ski or sleight.

Goal 2: Reach Roggenstock peak by lunchtime.

Goal 3 (optional): Reach lake Seebli.

Goal 4 (mandatory): Get back to Oberiberg village or Ybrig cable car station, to catch the hourly bus.

Route summary (ideally): Oberiberg - Roggenstock - Seeblisee - Oberiberg, medium pace, ↔️ ca. 11 km, 🕔 ca. 4:30-5:30 h:mm (without stops), ↗️ 670 m, ↘️ 670 m

It is your personal responsibility to know your fitness level (regarding the tour), to bring adequate equipment (clothes, boots, backpack, poles etc.), to check the weather forecast and to have insurance. In case professional rescue services are required, you will have to pay for the costs. (Roughly 4'000-6'000 CHF for a helicopter rescue.)
You must read and understand the whole description and route details. And you must be able able to navigate by yourself, especially in case the group is split for some reason.

Furthermore, please be on time and take care of timing during the trip! This is crucial, as we usually have punctual and timed public transport connections. And it is also respectful for everyone.

Travel iternary: We will arrive by bus and meet at "Oberiberg, Neuseewen" at 9:32 o'clock. It is IR35 from Zurich (8:12), then S13 from Wädenswil (8:34) and finally bus 555 from Einsiedeln, Bahnhof (9:03).
