Description

Howdy Hiking Fellas!

You know what they say: New year- new hike! So let's do that and go for the Herzogstand Heimgarten ridge in snow.

The hike is long, there will be snow and we'll need to be careful. There might even be too much snow to complete the hike, in which case we'd turn back.
It will get dark and we will not be making too many breaks, only stopping to put on gaiters, spikes and short food/tea breaks so we don't get too cold.

Expected pace - ~400hm/hour ascend, 800+hm/hour or ~4-6 km/h descend.

Departure: RB66 from Hbf/Pasing to Kochel (8:05 in Pasing) + Bus9608 at 09:18
Return: RB6 at 15/16/17:25 from Ohlstadt

Good to know

Bring:

1) A good mood
2) Proper Hiking boots
3) Hiking/Trekking Poles
4) Head lamp!
5) Gaiters/spikes, gloves, whatever winter gear you need
6) DE ticket
7) Warm drinks
