Hoi hikers,


The Haldi trail on the sunny alpine terrace above Schattdorf rewards snowshoers with fantastic views of the Urner valley floor. And that’s not all: it is said to have a healing effect.

How to get there:

Journey by public transport: ZH HB - Altdorf - Schattdorf, Dorf (bus) - Haldi (cable car)

The train (IC2 to Lugano) departs at 09:05 from ZH HB. (Yay, we can sleep more!)

Journey by car: Use gps. 

Please buy your cable car tickets in advance! (Via SBB)
We take the cable car up at 10:40.

Meeting point:
10:40 AM -  Schattdorf, cable car, valley station

 
Hike:
  • The hike will last ca. 3-4 hours with a lot of viewpoints and snow.
  • The uploaded route is not 100% correct, we will basically follow the snowshoe trail Nr. 885.
  • Short lunch break somewhere halfway.
  • The pace will be medium/fast with enough time to admire the landscape. In case you're not able to keep up with the pace, we might split up.
  • If you want to shorten the hike, you can take the cable car down.

Equipment:

  • Proper hiking boots, poles, snowshoes, snacks, enough water, proper (warm) clothes acc. to the weather, sunscreen, good mood and fitness.

  • The organizer is no professional guide. Participants are responsible for themselves, must do their own research about the route, and must be able to navigate by themselves (in case the groups split for some reason, for example).
  • Out of respect for the others, please be on time. If you happen to be late, contact the organizer.
  • If you have a No Show in your profile (= you did not show up to a hike you signed up to in the past), I may exclude you from the event.
  • Unjoining allowed until 12 hours before the start of the event. If you are unable to be join for whatever reason, contact the organizer.

hello, I see there is possibility to rent snowshoes at the cable car. is it okay if I go quickly there to rent a pair?
