Let's enjoy a lovely winter day out in the beautiful Allgäu Alps! We'll take an easy hike through the scenic Oytal valley, known for its stunning mountain views and charming landscapes.. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for everyone who enjoys a relaxed walk in nature.


⏰ Meeting Time: 08:00

📍 Meeting Point: Munich Central Station, Platform 30 entrance (under departure display)

We'll stop for a cozy lunch break at the Berggasthof Oytalhaus

The route 

  • Start at Oberstdorf Train Station
  • Walk to Nebelhornbahn area
  • Through the scenic Oytal valley
  • Lunch stop at Berggasthof Oytalhaus (6.4 km)
  • Past the Oybach stream
  • By the Moorweiher pond
  • Back to Oberstdorf Train Station

Hey everyone, I want to give you a quick heads-up - I'm currently feeling a bit under the weather and taking some medication that might make it difficult to wake up early. While the chance is low, I want to be transparent that there's a small possibility I might not make it tomorrow morning. Just to ensure everyone can do the hike either way. The route is very straightforward and easy to follow. You can download the track on both Hiking Buddies and Komoot; the key points of the route are in the description, and the WhatsApp group is in place as well. Again, I most likely will be there, I just wanted to keep everyone informed just in case. Looking forward to our hike tomorrow!
