They predict nice and somewhat sunny weather in the mountains at Flumserberg — unlike in Zurich 😱 So, how about getting out to a nice place close by?
See description at route :)
The actual hike will start at Tannenboden, which is where it'll also end in the afternoon. A ticket for the gondola from Panüöl > Tannenboden is also required. Probably best to buy it beforehand (as in… NOW! (but only if you're certain that you'll come)) on the Flumserberg online shop. The "Heidi hiking pass" for 40 CHF or 20 CHF (GA, Halbtax) is required.
We'll have a short stop in or close to the Spitzmeilenhütte.
Regarding difficulty, copying what Spitzmeilenhütte wrote:
From Tannenboden, take the winter hiking trail via Prodalp to Panüöl, Fursch and then continue along the winter route to the hut.
In normal conditions (good visibility, groomed winter hiking trails to Alp Fursch, little to no trail work from Alp Fursch), the routes from Tannenboden and Maschgenkamm can be described as easy. In deep snow or poor visibility, the times can double.
