FYI: I'm still considering the avalanche risk, primarily based on the SLF bulletin and also whiterisk. https://whiterisk.ch/de/conditions/bulletin and also the tour itself at https://whiterisk.ch/tour/t/15487408?t=e1s5i9dnhbnos1r6fkmef88k. they'll post an update this evening after 1700. i will check again then.

Latest update from 1700: https://whiterisk.ch/de/conditions/bulletin reduced the avalanche risk from "3=" to "3-". This seems to be promising. I'm keeping track at https://next.foobar.vip/s/XymgWy6T89YaCTd. As far as the route is concerned, there's basically one interesting spot. If interested, check out the route at https://whiterisk.ch/tour/t/15487408?t=e1s5i9dnhbnos1r6fkmef88k . It is between Barglen Schiben and Tannenstock north of p2387 and p2394. The next update will be posted tomorrow morning at 0800.

Now… I am determined to go to Melchsee-Frutt. Plan is to go to at least Murmoltereneggen and then decide. If it doesn't look safe, I'd decide to go a different, safer route - like to Engstlensee, or such.

next update: no update, more or less. They have reduced the limit from when it is considered ‘considerable’ (3-) from 2,000m to 1,800m. So it is now earlier ‘considerable’. No change in the plan on my part.

good morning. I'll already be in the IR70 and will be in carriage 18. Very first one in direction of travel — unless SBB changes the order of the train last minute 😉
