Description

Hi all,

Since there is the Montgolfiade event in Tegernsee area, I am thinking about hiking from Bad Wiesse to Lenggries, via Fockenstein and Seekarkreuz, maybe we see some balloons on the sky. I create the event in case other HB would like to join. Notice that I might adapt the route on the way, depending on how we assess terrain, energy, and weather (looks somehow cloudy, but not rainy).

  • Train from Munich Hbf at 8:02 (Hbf), bring your DE ticket or arrange your own tickets (might be worth asking the group if other don't have DE-ticket, you could join forces and get a group ticket). We will need to take a bus from Gmund to Bad Wiesse (connection time is 4min, sometimes too tight, hopefully we make it on time, otherwise, next bus is at 9:34)
  • This is what I think is doable, please have a look and assess based on your experience (I consider small breaks in between too, time plan is an approx. reference on where I'd like to be at certain times, knowing that if the group is large, we might need to readjust):
Bad Wiesse - Aueralm  			5.5km +550m 1h30 09:30 - 11:00 - Coffee/Tea break?
Aueralm - Fockenstein 3.3km +300m 1h00 11:15 - 12:15 - Enjoy the view, lunch
Fockenstein - Hirschsattle 3.2km -330m 0h45 12:45 - 13:30
    Option 1 (current plan):
Hirschsattle - Seekarkreuz 3.5km +375m 1h15 13:30 - 14:45 - Enjoy the view, snack
Seekarkreuz - Lenggrieser Hütte 1.5km -270m 0h30 15:00 - 15:30 - Eat/drink at the Hütte?
Lenggrieser Hütte - Lenggries 6.8km -660m 1h30 16:00 - 17:30
Option 2 (back up if need to shorten):
Hirschsattle - Lenggries 8.0km -550m 1h45 13:30 - 15:15

  • Trains Lenggries to Munich - every 30min at HH:17 and HH:47 -> 17:47 or 18:17 might be the one for option 1.

If you join, please, send me private message in HB with your number and I can add you to wapp group for easier communication.
