Magnificent loop on the south side, at the foot of the Roc des Tours and the Roc de Charmieux, facing the alpine ski area and the Aravis chain. Can be done without snowshoes.

We do a 9.09 km winter “pedestrian” running loop from Le Chinaillon,towards La Forclaz staying below Roc de Charmieux mountain peak, and then back to Le Chinaillon.

• 260m up/down (according to Komoot) Otherwise Hiking Buddies shows 353m
• 1:30 hours (excl. breaks)
General information~~~~
Pictures & Social Media: I will take pictures during the hike. Will publish them on social media. If you don’t want to appear, please let me know at the start of the event.
Transportation: I will be running from my AirBnB. You are responsible for your own transportation.
Pace:
This is an intermediate run. (Pace means; 4.35km length in 30min)
Food:
For the road - will not be stopping for breaks as we aim to finish before 10:45AM.
Gear:
Please come with proper hiking/running gear*
Proper shoes for event descriptions listed above. No gym shoes!
Trekking poles if you have knee problems or for added stability
If the event calls for snowshoes, and or spikes listed above in the description event /title
Multiple layers of clothes for required temps. (incl, gloves, beanie, neck gaiter etc)
Rain, snow and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses, hat)
Weather Forecast:
At publishing it will be overcast/light rain in AM, Bright Clear spells cloudy periods for the PM. Temperatures around 2 to +7 degrees.
Registration:
Aiming to 10 - but if necessary we will increase the number to include the waiting list (hard stop at 15).
