This Saturday weather looks great! Let´s go for winter hike to Wetterstein Hütte! :)

The Wetterstein Mountains are best known for their highest peak, the Zugspitze. But the southern flank near Scharnitz and Leutasch also offers wonderful landscapes. Our winter hike to the Wetterstein Hut, offers a magnificent view from the Karwendel to the main Alpine ridge. The hike from Leutasch to the Wetterstein Hut is a true taste of alpine adventure in the heart of the Gaistal valley. Beginning in the charming village of Leutasch, the trail quickly ascends from the valley floor along well-marked paths that wind through dense forests and open meadows. From here we hike till we reach beautiful Gaistal. Starting from here on the Leutascher Ache, we follow path no. 24 towards the Wetterstein Hut. After an initial, somewhat steep climb, this forest path, leads into path no. 9. We follow this path. A few bends higher we reach the bridge over the Klammbach and finally, after a final short, steep climb, we arrive at the Wetterstein Hut, perched at 1717 m. Looking out, you can see the charming Seefeld plateau spread below and beyond it the vast Gaistal valley. In the distance, the rugged peaks of the Stubai Alps rise majestically across the Inn valley, while the surrounding ranges—like the Wetterstein and Mieminger groups—frame the view with their dramatic, craggy profiles, especially Hohe Munde!
After a well deserved stop at the hut, we go back down till Weidach.
