We'll maintain a moderate hiking pace of around 400 vertical meters per hour. Please join only if you feel confident about completing the planned distance and altitude.

We'll hike together as one group. We aim to arrive latest by 10pm in Munich. After the hike, we may enjoy a meal or some drinks at a local restaurant. If there is an open hut on the trail, we will stop there instead of after the hike.

Details:

Platform and meeting time can be found in the event (train usually leaves 20 min after the proposed meeting time)

If you are late, then you need to find us on the train.

Cost:

-train ticket: 0€ if you have Deutschland-Ticket.

Food:

Please bring enough food and 1-2l water with you. 

I would recommend to bring:

-hiking shoes

-hiking poles

-gaiters

-spikes

-torch (we don’t mind hiking during night, if required)

-ID proof and emergency contact details (please place this safely in your backpack. You don't have to share it with the organizer out of privacy concerns, but it must be in your backpack/wallet for emergencies)

Train back goes once every hour. Last train back would be this one.

Attention:

We will follow the GPS route the whole time. A path covered with snow is no reason to change the route. If you decide not to follow the GPS route, then you have officially left the hike and will be removed from my hike.

It is not important to finish the hike during day light. Please bring a torch!

Please make your decision regarding participation in the Saturday hike by Thursday evening. This will allow those on the waiting list sufficient time to determine if they are still interested.

last minute cancelations:

I would like to kindly inform you that it is common for 5-8 participants to cancel on the last day. If you are on the waiting list and are moved to the participants list due to a last-minute cancellation, or if unforeseen circumstances arise such as illness or missing your train, I will need to note your "excuse" in your hiking review when I remove you from the walk or mark you as a no-show.
