We might have snow on the way and at the top… so make sure you have propre gear for snowy conditions (hiking boots, not sneakers, spikes, gaters, etc)

Hike Details


We start from Sattel
We do a 11 km loop from Sattel, up to Alpwirtschaft Halsegg (1340m - https://halsegg.ch/) - Chaiserstock (1426m) and then back to Sattel.

General information

Transportation


Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people, either in Berikon-Widen, AG or Birmensdorf, ZH (Kante D).

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train from Zurich HB.

Pace
This is a slow pace hike. (Slow Pace means 300/350m vertical ascent per hour ; 1km length in 30min)

Food
Warm drinks in isotherm bottle might be a good idea as it will be above zero, but not more than 5 degrees.
Snacks for the road - no packed lunch as we will be finished by 1:00pm.



Gear
Please come with proper hiking gear:
- Hiking boots with a good grip
- Hiking poles if you have knee problems
- Multiple layers of clothes (inc. warm clothes)
- Rain, snow and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses and hat)

Weather


Forecast for now is that it will fair and sunny…
Temperatures around -1 to +5 degrees.

Make sure you take some layers, as well as gloves and hat.
The path might be muddy at times, you might want to have poles.



Registration
Aiming to 10 including Laurence and I - but if necessary we will increase the number to include the waiting list (hard stop at 20).
