Description

Let's go on an easy and beautiful hike in the Kufstein area

Technical difficulty: This hike is graded as easy/medium.

IMPORTANT: We will cross the border between Germany and Austria, so please have the necessary documents with you that you usually carry for border crossing.

Things to bring:

  • Hiking shoes (recommended for Winter)
  • Food and water (1 or 2 litres) - there is a hut on the way where we could eat/drink something
  • Hiking poles
  • Gaiters (highly recommended)
  • Warm clothes

Hey Swaraj I just saw this in another hiking chat so sharing fyi as I guess it may affect your journey? (Maybe you already knew this but sharing just incase it helps) For anyone trying to get to Austria by train this weekend - there are construction works between Rosenheim and Kufstein. There are SEV buses, but only 2-3 per day…
