Arrive at start point
We start from Riezlern in Kleinwalsertal at 1,040 m and we take the Westeggweg path direction NE. This path goes uphill, past many farmsteads rewarding us with a winter panorama that extends over the entire Kleinwalsertal to the winter-dressed Widderstein at the end of the valley. Also the excellent view of the Hoher Hifen and the Gottesackerplateau, a geological jewel of the Alps, are quite impressive! We keep going till we reach Schönblick where we make a break for lunch. Unfortunatela it is closed till December so bring food with you. The winter hike leads through snow-covered forests and the moss wrapped under a thick winter dress. Impressive views over the entire southern Oberallgäu right at the beginning of the tour, as well as impressive viewpoints over the Oberstdorf surroundings and the Stillachtal, are a welcome change to the dense, idyllic winter forest. We finally head to Sollereck as highest point of the day before coming back the same route.
