This hike is a combination of Via Alpina stage 2 and WALSA trail stages 1 & 2. It goes from Vilters through the Rütiwald to Weisstannen.

Unlike the "original" Via Alpina stage 2, the trail does NOT start in Sargans but in Vilters!

The altitude profile of the hike is quite gentle. As it only goes up to 1,200m, snow should no longer be an issue.

"Equipment":

• Food for lunch — at about halfway, we'll have a "lunch" break
• Drink (water)
• Sun glasses
• Layers of clothes
• Good trail running shoes or hiking boots
