Hike Details

We start from the car park Tüfelsschlucht Hägendorf
We do a 11.2 km loop from Hägendorf, up the devil’s gorge (Tüfelsschlucht) to Bergli (927m) and then back to Hägendorf.

General information

I will take pictures during the hike and will publish them on social media. If you don’t want to appear, please let me know at the start of the hike.

Transportation
Laurence and I will be going by car we can pick-up 4 people, either in Dättwil AG, Langacker (near Baden).

Otherwise I have indicated how to come by train from Zurich HB.

Pace
This is a slow pace hike. (Slow Pace means 300/350m vertical ascent per hour ; 1km length in 30min)


Food
Warm drinks in isotherm bottle might be a good idea as it will be between 5 and 12 degrees.
Snacks for the road - no packed lunch as we will be finished by 1:00pm.



Gear
Please come with proper hiking gear:
- Hiking boots with a good grip
- Hiking poles if you have knee problems
- Multiple layers of clothes (inc. warm clothes)
- Rain, snow and/or sun protection (inc. sunglasses and hat)

Weather
Forecast for now is that it will be cloudy…
Temperatures around +5 to +12 degrees.
Make sure you take some layers, as well as gloves and hat.
The path might be muddy at times, you might want to have poles.

Aiming to 10 including Laurence and I - but if necessary we will increase the number to include the waiting list (hard stop at 20).

For those interested, the name of the “spider” structure is Stiron Die Skulptur "Stiron", sie steht seit 1977 in der Nähe der Höhenklinik Allerheiligenberg und ist ein Geschenk vom Künstler Franz Stirnimann.
