Warning !

The distance, climb and descent are significant and we will be going at a fast pace (500+ m/hour up). Please make sure you understand the meaning of these numbers before joining.

Furthermore, as it is still winter in the mountains at this altitude, please note I may modify the itinerary for safety reasons at any point during the hike.

Specifically for this hike, if there is too much snow or if I locally assess the avalanche risk as too high, we will follow the lower altitude trail that passes through Broch - Alpiglen - Grosse Scheidegg.

Meeting point

Meiringen train station at 10h06 AM. Kindly note the end point is different, we will finish in Grindelwald. I will pace the group to make sure we catch the 18h17 train (or 19h17 at the latest).

Please note that I am not a guide and have never done this trail before, so prepare accordingly (GPX file, water, food, sunscreen, headlamp, crampons, sunglasses, rain gear, warm clothes, etc). 

Be aware I may take the decision to divert from the suggested circuit if necessary, especially in winter.
