We will be trying out the Mittenwald Höhenweg Via Ferrata this time. The tour will start with Karwendelbahn Bergstation and include the following peaks:

Nördliche Linderspitze(2373m) - Mittlere Linderspitze (2239m) - Südliche Linderspitze (2305m) - Sulzleklammspitze (2321m) - Kirchlspitze(2301m)

The Via Ferrata sections on this route ranges between A and B. Please read the the blog to understand the levels of difficulties and see the Topo of the tour.

For those who are have enough of Via ferrata, it is possible to exit with Heinrich-Noe-Steig after the Mittl. Lindersptize.

What to bring

  • Full gear for via ferrata (Harness + Via Ferrata set + Gloves + Helmet ) Rest loop strongly recommended
  • Enough food (energy bars) and water(1-2 liters)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses/protection glasses(transparent)
  • Good mood and energy


Technical Difficulty: This hike is NOT suitable for beginners. You have to be absolutely surefooted and no fear of heights. You should have good stamina. The maximum difficulty level for scrambling/climbing sections will be B and you should have some experience with bouldering/ Via Ferrata/ rock climbing

Legal disclaimer: This is not a guided tour. I merely organize the trip to the starting point with people who are properly equipped and experienced with Alpine terrain. Every participant must be able to navigate her/himself on the suggested route. If you join, you acknowledge that you are aware of the risks associated with this hike,  you are fully responsible for yourself and that you have sufficient insurance (DAV, Bergrettung or similar).

Good to know

CARPOOL

Schedule: We will try to take the Karwendelbahn before 9am. Cars should leave Munich at 07h15 am.

Passengers: Click on Carpool button. Read carefully all information about the car you join, check if there are any specific instructions, like a payment (for fuel / parking / vignette / ...) beforehand to confirm your participation - this is up to the driver. Meeting point is decided by the driver, this information is in the "Carpool" button.

If you have a car, please add it to the carpool.
