Not for beginners. Some technical difficulties (with easy scrambling parts, and steel rope secured sections), both on the way up and on the way down. Also it's lengthy and I want to keep a good pace on the easy parts. You should be able to hike up at least at 500hm/h rate.
Don't worry about one part of the path being displayed as T6 on the profile, that is incorrect and it's actually an easy part.
We are taking the train towards Garmisch, leaving at 6:32. We then have ca. 20 minutes in Garmisch, to change to the train towards Reutte in Tirol. We get off at the Ehrwald Zugspitzbahn stop, at 8:51, and start hiking from there.
The possible trains back from Ehrwald Zugspitzbahn depart at 16:30, 17:30, 18:30, 19:30, 21:36 (last train for the day).
I plan to hike this route in the reverse direction, up via Hoher Gang, and then down via Gruensteinscharte. Alternatively going down via Knappensteig if we want to cut the hike a bit shorter.

Note Please unjoin the event asap if you can't participate anymore. You can't drop out less than 12 hrs before the event starts! If you happen to be sick and have to cancel beyond those 12 hours, please drop me a message or leave a comment.
