On Ascension Day, what could be better than to ascend on a scenic ridge walk?
Almost the whole route is above treeline and part of it is T4, so it is not suitable for beginners or for street shoes. But the scenery is spectacular and Steinbock are often seen up there.
If you need to know more about what T4 means, see: https://www.sac-cas.ch/fileadmin/Ausbildung_und_Wissen/Sicher_unterwegs/Sicher_unterwegs_Wandern/2020_Berg_Alpinwanderskala_EN.pdf
We will aim for a moderate pace (~400 m per hour uphill). Bring rain gear (you never know...) and sufficient food and water for your needs. Hiking poles are a good idea.
Meet at 10AM at the Aeugstenbahn Seilbahn station in Ennenda.
If arriving by car, park at the Ennenda train station and walk from there (parking spaces at the Seilbahn station are very limited).
If traveling by SBB from Zurich, the connection you want is S25 departing from Zurich HB (Track 7) at 8:43.
Round trip on the Ennenda Seilbahn will cost 19 CHF (but will save 1000 m up and down ;-).

I have done this route many times before, but I am not a certified guide and all participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being.
