This is a carpool event. If you do not have a car, please join the waitlist first until drivers have added their cars. You can then join a car.

Hi buddies!

Let’s go this Saturday for a scenic tour with awesome views in Salzburgerland. You should be able to handle 1188m elevation, 13km distance for this T2 level hike. Please leave the day free so that we don’t have to rush. So if you have to come back at a certain time that day then please don't join. I like to take in the atmosphere and have a good lunch 😉 , The forecast on Bergfex and Meteoblue looks decent, but please bring layers incase it is chilly at higher altitudes (the peak is 1783m).

This hike is not only about enjoying the beauty of nature, but to make the most of the experience, we need a positive and flexible group.

Here's the deal:

  • Pack a Positive Attitude: This is an adventure, and there might be challenges. Come prepared with a smile, a willingness to help others, and a can-do spirit.
  • Be a Team Player: Hiking with a group requires compromise and a little give-and-take. Be open to adjusting plans and working together to make this a fantastic experience for everyone.

The "Wolfgangseer Schafberg" is one of the peaks with most beautiful view in Austria. Wherever you look, your eyes will be hit by the blue of alpine lakes on all sides. This mountain located in Salzburgerland is surrounded by three of the main lakes of the Salzkammergut: Wolfgangsee, Mondsee and Attersee plus Irrsee and Fuschlsee and in clear days you can get to see even Chiemsee in Bayern. Plus the view from the summit (1783m) guarantees the gorgeous mountain scenery of  Höllengebirge range, Dachstein Mountains and famous Watzmann.
Good to know

Hiking Is a Dangerous activity. Everyone Is responsible for him/herself. I am not a professional guide. 


Things to bring:

  • IDs
  • Hiking poles 
  • Spikes/gaiters just incase (Idk the conditions there but peak is 1783m so there could still be snow)
  • Hiking boots
  • Food/2 litre water
  • Sunscreen
  • snacks/second breakfast 
  • Download GPX file
  • A good smile 😊
