Hi everyone!

Join me for a relaxed hike to Wamberg, Brauneck (Garmisch), and Eckbauer from Garmisch-Partenkirchen Skistadionon Saturday, May 31.

This is a moderate-level hike (T2–T3).I would prefer to go at a slower and study pace. Please note that I’m not a certified guide, so come prepared and hike at your own risk.

Train Details:

  • Departure: 07:13 from München Hbf (Platform 31)

  • Train: RE 61 (4691) to Mittenwald

  • Arrival: 08:23 at Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Platform 3)

Bus Details:

  • From: Bahnhof (Post), Garmisch-Partenkirchen

  • Departure: 08:47 Bus Line: 2 toward Klinikum Garmisch-Partenkirchen

  • Arrival: 08:59 at Skistadion, Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Return: Depends on the timing. If we miss the bus, we’ll just have to walk an extra 2.2 km to the station. There’s a train every hour. Let’s try to be back in Munich before 5 PM.

Note: The Deutschlandticket is valid for both the train and bus.

What to Bring:

  • At least 2L of water

  • Snacks or lunch

  • Good hiking shoes
