Description
Cars should aim to meet/pick up around 07:45 in Munich. Google is telling me approx 1hr45 drive time. I think it would be good to meet at the trail head around 09:30.
Meteoblue showing a sunny day between 8-12 degrees at Thaneller. Bring layers and sun block! Route is a T2 on the south face. We should have some nice views of Heiterwangsee/Plansee from the peak, which is ofcourse what I’m chasing ;-) Bring poles, spikes (just incase as I know snow was forecast to happen this week at the peak) and lunch for the peak (no hut).
If there is interest, we can grab dinner afterwards at a restaurant probably in Garmisch (I’ll add details) as a strategy to avoid traffic heading back to Munich ;-)

What to bring:
Your best self obviously!
- Hiking shoes
-poles
- ID Card just incase (crossing into austria, you never know!)
- cash for dinner as we plan to eat in Garmisch
- Enough water for the hike, lunch + snacks
- Power bank
-Sunscreen (weather is due to be sunny)
-sunglasses
- spikes (just in case, there may have been snow this week)
- layers
-DAV insurance
Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide, and everybody joining this hike does so at their own risk.

Incase anyone re-uses this route fyi we all felt that this was more of a T3 plus small section of scrambling
