2-Day Allgäu Hike (Initially booked as a 3 Day Hike but
was cut short due to bad Weather)
I have booked 8 beds in Landsberger Hütte (8-9 June 2025).
Details:
· This is a multi day hike (2 days, with 1 overnight stay in Hütte).
· This hike requires experience and stamina, the route is mostly T2 and a small stretch shown as T5 as per the Hiking Buddies T Scale.
· You are recommended to have hiking insurance (DAV membership or other).
· Plans might change on the go, depending on terrain conditions, weather, how we feel...
· I booked some beds on a Matratzenlager. If you join you must commit to pay the cost of the Hüttes (or in case you need to drop last minute, the minimum amount as per each Hütte regulation or find a replacement). I might ask you to send a reservation via Paypal.
· Before joining the event, please send me a private message so that we can talk in more detail about the hike.
Itinerary:
We meet on June 8 at 9:00 Munich Hbf Platform 30, to take the train from
Munich Hbf Platform 30 9:20 - Sonthofen
Bahnhof 11:20 (RE 76),
11:35 Bahnhof Sonthofen Bus 48 to 12:10 Oberjoch
Iselerbahn, Bad Hindelang,
12:20 Oberjoch Iselerbahn, Bad Hindelang
to 12:37 Gemeindeamt, Tannheim (A)
Sunday:
Tannheim – Vilsalpsee – Landsberger Hütte
Approx. 9 km | 700 m ascent | 20 m descent
If the weather improves, we can consider going up to Steinkarspitze and Schrecksee
as optional extensions. Sleep at Landsberger Hütte (27€/bed (with DAV
15€/bed) + Dinner/breakfast Self Paid). Prices: Link
Monday:
Landsberger Hütte – Haldensee
Approx. 12 km | 260 m ascent | 920 m descent
We can take a few scenic detours if the weather allows.
This way, we still get
to enjoy the mountains, stay safe, and make the most of the long weekend, only Sunday
of hiking would be rainy, and Monday is likely to be drier that Sunday.
