Description
Lets explore the spectacular Karwendel mountain range. This is a long hike crossing several peaks in the Soiern group, passing by Soiernsee and Soiernhaus.
We will climb at a moderate-fast climbing speed of 500 m/h.
The hike is NOT suitable for beginners. Please familiarize yourself before joining the hike. Sturdy shoes and a head for heights are necessary for the trail.
Logistics
We'll take the train to Lenggries, departing 6:12am from Siemenswerke, then bus to Oswaldhütte. From this year the whole way to Eng is inclusive with Deutschlandticket.
🚶♂️ Start hiking – 7:46 AM
Around 1pm Stop for a break at Soiernhaus / Soiernsee. Swimming opportunity :)
⏱️ Catch bus back from Krün (2 connections per hour)
What you Bring:
- Lunch, Snacks
- Plenty of water
- Hiking shoes (essential)
- Hiking poles (optional)

Oh, I did the first half of it last weekend (but then continued via Soiernspitze over the ridge and down to Mittenwald). The first part is really great because there are no people there :) Enjoy!

Hi folks, I've rescheduled the hike for 2 weeks later, as the weather for Sunday doesn't look that stable, and the train to Holzkirchen is currently out of operation.

Hi folks, I've rescheduled the hike again to the following weekend, sorry for the late change of plans. Unfortunately MeteoBlue is showing a risk of thunderstorms starting around lunch tomorrow :(
