The route here is more like a placeholder since we're not planning to go up through the via Ferrata, but rather from the climbing route BW3 & Adamplatte (https://www.bergsteigen.com/touren/klettern/adamplatte-bw3-alpspitze/).

Grade is UIAA 4-/4

Bring the following (non-exhaustive list):

  • Food and water for the whole day
  • Cash and ID
  • hiking poles
  • power bank + cables
  • GPX and Topo for the route (https://www.bergsteigen.com/fileadmin/userdaten/import/topos/bw3_adamplatte_alpspitze_topo_0.jpg)
  • Climbing gear (Climbing shoes, 2 x 60m half rope, harness, helmet, quickdraws, HMS, slings, ...)

I may move / cancel the event depending the on the weather and the condition of the route.

We did BW3 last friday, was a very nice climb with cool views, enjoy it guys! here some tips: - Bring as much alpine draws/runners as posible, otherwise with shorts quickdraws you will strugle with too much friction, specially with two ropes, (in some pitches). - The 5th pitch of BW3 is actually a 5 UIAA (the slab (Platte) on the middle of this pitch) I saw this Info on the Kletterführer „Wetterstein Nord“ (Panico Alpinverlag). You can borrow it on DAV Schuster. - Start as early as possible to be first ones on this route, in case is already occupied, you could do BW1 (4) or BW2 (4). You can find the info and more routes in the Alpspitze also on the Kletterführer „Wetterstein Nord“. - In some of the slabs, they are not really (good) foot holds, so you have to friction climb (but this pretty normal on slabs though)
