🌄 Weekend Hike to Bischof
Hi everyone! I'm Kavin, a weekend hiker based in Ingolstadt, and I'm excited to host my very first event with Hiking Buddies! This Saturday, my friend and I are heading out for a full-day hike to Bischof (2,033 m) starting from Oberau – and we’d love for you to join us!
🗓 Date: 05.07.2025 (Saturday)
🚆 Meeting Points:
05:25 at Ingolstadt Nord (for those coming from Ingolstadt)
07:25 at Munich Hauptbahnhof
From there, we’ll take the train together to Oberau, where our hike begins.
🥾 Hike Details:
Total Ascent: ~1300 meters
Duration: Full-day hike
Pace: Relaxed – we’re not in a rush and have plenty of time to catch the last train back to Munich or Ingolstadt
Route Info: https://www.komoot.com/tour/2313699801
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the mountains, share stories, and meet fellow hiking enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just getting started, you're very welcome!
Looking forward to a beautiful day outdoors and meeting some new faces on the trail! 🌲😊

✅ Good Hiking Shoes
Sturdy hiking shoes are a must – the trail includes a steady climb and uneven terrain.
💧 Plenty of Water & Food
There are no Hütten along the planned route, so please bring enough water (at least 2–3 liters) and food/snacks for the entire day.
🥢 Hiking Poles (Recommended)
They’ll be helpful for both the ascent and descent, especially if the trail gets steep or rocky.
🧴 Sunscreen & Sunglasses
We’ll be out all day, and most parts of the trail are exposed – protect yourself from the sun!
🎒 Optional but Helpful:
Light jacket or rain protection (if the weather forecast changes)
A small first aid kit
A power bank for your phone or GPS
