Hi everyone,

Please make sure you have the fitness and ability to attend, it will be a loong hike.

The pace will be adapted according to the time constraints, otherways to the slowest in the group.

I am planning a two-day hike in the Allgäu region, exploring a hidden and truly wonderful area surrounded by unique mountains and nature, with an overnight at the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus.

The plan is roughly :

  • leave Munich at 7:32 on Saturday, start the hike around 10:30-11:00
  • arrive at the hut around 15-16, enjoy the afternoon and the evening
  • on Sunday, leave in the early morning and go for Hochvogel, complete the loop
  • take the bus (attention, last one leaves at 18:10) and then the train and reach Munich


I have reserved spots for 6 people at the hut. The costs are:

  • 12 € – DAV members

  • 24 € – Non-DAV members

A deposit of 15 € per person was required, which will be deducted from the final bill. Please transfer the 15 € to me by July 6th as a confirmation of your spot. A WhatsApp group will be created for coordination.


Please bring:

  • Hiking shoes
  • Gloves
  • Cash for the hut
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Downloaded GPX route
  • Food, water and snacks for Saturday and Sunday

Meeting point is 7:10 at platform 29 of München HBF.

Return foreseen around 21-22 on Sunday
