Not for beginners
I have been eyeing this place since I saw it on a ski trip.. it will take us to the heart of the stunning Wilder Kaiser gebirge. Route inspired by Outdoor active trail here which I selected to make it a hike and avoid the klettersteig route. Weather forecast looks cracking for Saturday.

This will not be a fast hike ;-) I have deliberately chosen a shorter but steep route to see Ellmauer Tor, which is the Sattle, not the Halt (spitze). You need to be sure footed, comfortable with steep terrain and with taking some cables.

Optional: on the way back, it would be great if we could take a short detour and swim in HinterSteinersee which is very beautiful and only a 10 minute detour from the drive home.

Your best self obviously!
- Hiking shoes
-poles
- ID Card just incase (crossing into austria, you never know!)
- cash for the hütte
- Enough water for the hike, enough snacks (we will eat lunch around 14:00 at the hütte)
- Power bank
-Sunscreen (weather is due to be sunny)
-sunglasses
-swimming kit
-bug spray
- layers
-DAV insurance
-download the GPX
