📅 Saturday | ☀️ Beautiful weather forecast | 👫 Open to all interested hikers
On Saturday, 9 August 2025, the weather around Nebelhorn promises a perfect hiking day – clear skies, hazy sunshine, and mild morning temperatures around 16–18 °C, warming up to 28–30 °C by afternoon.
The route starts at the Nebelhorn cable car mountain station, leading through alpine meadows with stunning views toward the Allgäu Alps.
A steady climb brings you to Knappenkopf, where a wide panorama opens over rolling green valleys and sharp mountain ridges.
From here, the path along the ridge to Kugelhorn becomes rockier, offering dramatic vistas of distant peaks and deep alpine basins.
The ascent to Kugelhorn rewards hikers with a commanding view over shimmering lakes and the rugged Nebelhorn range.
Continuing to Rauhorn, the trail winds through high alpine terrain, rich with wildflowers in summer bloom.
Rauhorn’s summit provides a breathtaking 360° view—from the Bavarian Alps into Austria, with clear outlines thanks to the sunny weather.
Expect strong sun exposure and light haze in the afternoon, so sun protection and plenty of water are essential.
The trail is moderately demanding with some exposed sections—ideal for experienced hikers seeking both challenge and scenery.
With the stable, warm forecast and spectacular ridge-line views, this hike is a summer highlight in the Allgäu.
